We celebrate simplicity with filigree

Simplicity Day is celebrated on the 12th of July. This celebration arises from the need to get rid of what is complicated and to simplify our daily life.

And it was with simplicity that young women expressed their feelings and emotions in the embroidery symbols they created. One of them is the Key motif (“Chave”), a symbol of her love, offering him the key to open her heart, the subtle seduction of young women of marriageable age.

By portraying this symbol on both the Key  earrings and  ring, we want to perpetuate a long tradition in which the audacity of young women allowed them to free themselves from social conventions and to assume themselves as the masters of their destiny.

The simplicity of the filigree design, a strong Northern tradition, portrays the handkerchief embroidery with a touch of elegance.

In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
