Care Tips for Your Jewellery

We know each piece of jewellery has a special meaning to you. That’s why we’d like to share our experience for keeping them sparkling and beautiful, with some easy daily tips.

As you might know, silver is a precious metal that oxidizes (darkens) easily, as it is sensitive to humidity, heat, creams, perfumes, detergents, just to name a few. This means we should always remove our jewellery when we handle food and cleaning products.


Tip 1

This is what we use to keep our jewellery sparkling every day:

  • A small container with water;
  • Baking soda;
  • PH neutral liquid soap;
  • A soft cloth (flannel, for example);
  • A soft bristle brush.

Tip 2
Wash your jewellery with a PH neutral liquid soap solution and dry it well with a soft cloth.

The most frequent cleaning should be done using a soft cloth moistened with a PH neutral liquid soap solution to remove cream and sweat residues.

Then, clean the jewellery with a dry soft cloth. 

Finally, dry it with a blow dryer, in order to eliminate all humidity never use a dryer if the piece of jewellery has gems or stones).

Always keep your jewellery in an individual box.

Always keep your jewellery in an individual box, in order to avoid scratches caused by the contact with other pieces. It must be kept in a dry place, in order to avoid humidity.

Tip 4
This tip is about cleaning a very delicate necklace, which presents signs of having been used several times. Use a baking soda solution.

Place the necklace in a container with a baking soda solution and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. Then, check if it is clean; if not, leave the necklace in the solution until it is bright.

Tip 5
Use a soft bristle brush to remove all traces of dirty residue

After removing the remaining traces of dirty residue with a soft bristle brush (tip 5), rinse the necklace with clean water and wipe it with a soft cloth.

Eliminate all humidity

After cleaning the necklace with a soft cloth (tip 6), dry it well with a blow dryer, in order to ensure there is no humidity left never use a dryer if the piece of jewellery has gems or stones).
